Last Days of Summer...

We've officially closed the season in hot summer fashion...a camping trip at the lake last weekend, a fun visit with friends this weekend, and a Labor Day pool party this afternoon. During these fun-filled two weeks, Henry tried his first ice pop, picked our first red, delicious tomatoes and improved his grammar...instead of saying "my eat" he now says "I eat." We are very proud.

Last weekend was Henry's first camping trip. It was very hot, but we had a great time. Henry seemed to enjoy sleeping in the tent, despite the heat and midnight thunderstorm. He played hard at the beach during the day, so slept like a champ all night long. He thought eating every meal outside by the fire with friends was a real treat. We are looking forward to the next trip...perhaps this fall.

On Friday night we traveled to Zanesville, OH to see our good friends Erica and Dave, and to celebrate Erica's baby shower. We loved seeing their big nice house, playing with their big nice dog, and eating their big nice meals. Thanks Erica and Dave for such a fun visit...we can't wait to meet Baby Boose!

And today we spent an afternoon at the pool with our good friends from Cincinnati. The sun was hot and the water was perfect. Henry enjoyed playing with his buddy Wyatt...or "Eddie Danger." He loved the water, as always, and the five dogs who were eager to give, and accept kisses.

A wonderful summer it has been...we have truly enjoyed every minute with our little man...and now look forward to all that fall will bring.
